DIY Christmas lights 2.0, Neopixels this time! | TWT45
Hello everyone, I've been planning this video for a while now. It is a followup to last years RGB christmas tree lights, this year though I wanted to make lights for the front of our house.
Instead of using common anode or cathode RGB LEDs I also decided to use 8MM Through-hole Neopixel clone LEDs (I say clone only because they aren't official Adafruit neopixels). I managed to get 50 of the LEDs for a resonable price on Aliexpress and in the end I'm really happy with how everything turned out.
In total the project took me two days of soldering which turns out it was 477 soldered connections. The majority of the time delay was due to messing up some of the connections and having to resolder them, which was a terrible ordeal.
To drive the whole project I am using a Canaduino Maxx from Universal-solder.ca
