What I Wear Winter Hiking
Here’s what I’ve been wearing for all of my winter hikes this year:
Base layers
Trekking pants
Fleece Hoodie
Winter HIking Skirt
Merino Wool Socks (plus I always pack an extra pair)
Neoprene Toe Covers
Hiking Boots
Gore-Tex Leg Gaiters
Synthetic (or Down) Vest
Hat
Cute Pair of Earrings
Fanny Pack
Pack to Hold All of My Winter Hiking Gear In
Pair of Trekking Poles
Also, don’t forget to ALWAYS pack the 10 Essentials including extra warm clothing layers, a knife and repair/tool/toiletry kit, navigation tools, a headlamp, fire starter, emergency blanket, sun protection, extra food, extra water (I store my water upside down in a Nalgene water bottle so it doesn’t freeze!) and first aid kit.
For winter hikes, I love bringing with me my 11th Essential, a warm drink and always pack a sense of adventure!
