The TWISTED CASE of Nathaniel Slade
A Duval County jury convicted Nathaniel Slade of second-degree murder for killing a woman and burying her body in his backyard. The investigation began when the homeowner discovered a trash can buried in the yard, containing the victim's remains. Evidence revealed that Slade had stabbed the victim, his former supervisor who was assisting his girlfriend in leaving an abusive relationship with him. Slade, already serving a life sentence for unrelated charges, now faces additional sentencing for this crime.
