Are you an innovator or an explorer? A conqueror or a liberator?
Overall an excellent Anno game (probably the best according to most), if you are into city buiilder and real-time strategy, this one has a ton of mechanics cleverly made enough to keep the player in its saistfying loop and is an excellent history-themed based simulator.
Cherry on the cake, the co-op is here with the last game update, up to 4 players can team up to create an industrial empire while competing against up to three other teams.
Pros:
Excellent historical simulator (Victorian era)
Gameplay is deep and still accessible to new players
Tutorial cleverly made / enjoyable
Sandbox
Interesting challenge progression wise
Soundtrack
Top tier of its category (one of the best of its kind? Best anno? Up to you to judge)
Visually aesthetical
Micromanagement paradise (or nightmare if you despite that)
Cons:
Some pointed at bugs, freeze & crash but I had absolutely none of it... (knowing that I didn't get far enough to experience/verify if any campaign quests still suffer of any bug as previously mentioned). I'll just leave at that "maybe/possibly".
Tested at 1440p max settings (for the uttermost part) recording the video (ultra quality), it ran extremely well on my average test setup dedicated to Youtube.
