Hybrid Rocket 2nd Static Test | Testing at 850PSI on Oxygen 4K
Second time out with Phantom Hybrid Rocket running on Gaseous Oxygen, and fuelled with Paraffin Wax and ABS pellets and a little epoxy resin in for luck.
Didn’t go according to plan....but when you’re testing rockets it can all go pear shaped in a nano second….. pressure of 850psi wasn’t reached, possibly due to lower start level of oxygen in the main tank, which was reduced with the first test fail, not our best day yet, as the load cell failed as well, Kay had issues with some cameras too!!
Plan to be out again soon with a new gas bottle and some further safeguards in place
