Abu Ambassadeur アンバサダー2500C - servicing and maintenance
The Ambassadeur 2500C is a legend among casting reels and for good reason.
This particular reel is 44 years old and still going strong...particularly after a simple clean-up and servicing.
Do not be too liberal in the amount of oil and grease applied to your reels...it might protect against corrosion but it surely will impair it’s performance. Just a light oil and a dab of grease at moving parts is all you need.
Everything of this reel is factory stock. I cleaned all parts using ultrasonic cleaner.
