February 4, 2022 Morning Announcements
Student council president and historian, Elle & Emmi, co-host the Morning Announcements with Principal Martinez. They welcome special-guest, Juliet, who had her name submission selected for the new corn snake in the science lab. Juliet shares how she came up with the name, Maize, and how she felt when it was selected yesterday. Mr. Martinez shares this week's Heartwork activity for all students (see attachment). Emmi presents the group with a new riddle. Next week's Student Council Spirit Week is announced before a new Unity Fair Family video is shown that focuses on a Chinese Lunar New Year story retold by the Hatanaka family. A quote by African American civil rights and women's rights activist, Dorothy Heights, is shared and discussed. The Words of Wisdom are dedicated to teaching and influencing others.
