Stump Guitar 1
Here is a stumpwood guitar. Sample of the Sound. The grain pattern was found lying around my brother's yard and cut for use in a guitar. Unfortunately, it had a disease running through the middle right in the spot I wanted to use. the interior had a black mark down the middle. The hardness of the oak stump wood made resawing difficult and only one guitar has come of it so far. Don't know if any more faces will be cut from the stump. My 1/3 hp bandsaw just wasn't up to the job of resawing Oak. it now has a lipstick humbucker pickup and an acoustic style bridge.
