Animate Handwritten Typefaces | After Effects Tutorial
In the final video in a series of THREE looking at different ways of animating fonts in After Effects, I'll show you how to animate joined up brush and marker style fonts like the one shown. I call this the hard way as there's really no way of cheating it to animate it properly. We'll look at creating an animated stroke to use as a matte, then splitting our letters up into parts so it looks like it's being handdrawn on. Once animated we'll give the text a multi-coloured effect to add some interest.
