In this video, we explain how to add #FacebookMessenger directly to your website. Users are very familiar with #FacebookChat, making this a great way to boost website engagement and integrate social media campaigns in one fell swoop.
Our example focuses on #WordPress and #Divi. But the process works for just about any website as long as you can add scripts within the body of your webpages.
Facebook provides a simple 3-step process to configure your chat code. Go to "Settings" within your #FacebookPage. Choose "Messenger Platform" in the left sidebar. Scroll down and click the "Set Up" button under "Customer Chat Plugin." From there, the wizard starts.
Edit your custom message in step one. Edit your color in step two. Then copy the code generated in step three of the wizard.
You can also edit these attributes by editing the code directly. Beyond that, there are several other attributes you can change by editing the code snippet as well. We anticipate the number of built-in options will grow over time.
So far though, Facebook has done a great job making the process as easy as possible.
Your customers want to chat. They are familiar with Facebook Messenger. So use it!
