Railway environment is one of the most challenging for electronic designers due to its intrinsic harshness and volatility. For this reason, a dedicated EN 50121 EMC standard has been developed, which is significantly more severe in terms of Immunity test levels and pass criteria, compared to residential EMC. In this video, I test an installation designed to meet this standard in a test house.
This video is an example of EMC testing in-field, and I'm very grateful to Intertek staff for the permission to film on their site!
