The Sphinx Timeline Debate: Erosion, Repairs, and Ancient Mysteries
It is said that the Sphinx was mostly covered in sand through the duration of its life, except for the head popping above the surface. However, when you look at the body, especially down in the enclosure, it is very very weathered. What type of climate do you think caused this weathering pattern throughout the structure? Could it just have been wind and sand?
