Join us as Dr. Kyndel Tarziers explore the use of creative approaches aimed to increase youth engagement in counseling. Utilizing creativity offers a way to connect with youth outside of more traditional talk therapy formats. This presentation provides an overview of the benefits of using creative approaches in counseling, as well as practical techniques that may be applied in a variety of settings.

Kyndel Tarziers, PhD, NCC, is an assistant professor at the University of West Georgia and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. Dr. Tarziers also holds supervisory credentials (CPCS) in the state of Georgia. Her research interests focus on counselor education training and counselor burnout. In addition to her role as an educator, Dr. Tarziers is a practicing clinician in the state of Georgia. She currently sees children, adolescents, and adults in a group private practice, and utilizes creative and expressive arts approaches in her work with clients. Dr. Tarziers also serves as the Emerging Leader Chair for the Association for Child and Adolescent Counseling (ACAC).
