Palitaw is a type of Filipino delicacy or kakanin in Tagalog. It is soft and chewy rice cake coated with sugar, coconut, and sesame seeds. It is traditionally made from "galapong" which is sweet rice that is washed, soaked, and grinded the next day.

Here in the US, we buy the powdered glutinous rice flour from any Asian stores. Making this is all about estimation and preference. Some people pound the sesame seeds beforehand and some mix the seeds and the sugar together. And you can add other toppings too like mango or yema. The possibilities are endless. It's all up to you.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 C glutinous rice flour
3/4 C room temperature water (or as needed)
1/2 C sugar
3T sesame seeds
1 1/2 C grated coconut
