Silvana's Wedding Day Surprise

When I was suffering with depression, despite being 3500 miles apart, my auntie was always there for me. She helped me get through those bad days. She messaged me every day. She gave me words of wisdom. She sent me positive thoughts. Positive quotes. She sent me music with meaningful lyrics to help me see that life was not worth giving up on. So you can imagine already what an amazing auntie she tried to be, and was.
My aunt has no other family apart from her children with her in Toronto. In March 2015, my aunt asked me if I could walk her down the aisle. I never had the money at the time to book tickets and was really gutted that I couldn’t be there for her on her special day.
In July/August my situation changed and I made arrangements to be there on my aunt’s special day. I set up in advance with her future husband to make it a surprise. He helped me find accommodation so to stay in hiding upon arrival and we worked together to make the surprise the best ever!
The video below shows me arriving at my aunt’s home, the plan being revealed and the video recording I sent to my aunt before her wedding to make her think I was still unable to be there.
