Adult Tonsilectomy - recovery post tonsil removal operation
I documented my journey through the 14 days of recovery after having my tonsils removed.
I never in my life suffered with my tonsils until the age of 31, where I suffered 4 times in the space of 5 months. Ear, Nose and Throat specialist advised they be removed.
I did my own research before the operation and found a mix of recovery stories and so I though I would share my own.
You can eat as much of a normal diet where possible.
Stock up on paracetemol and ibuprofen.
A heat pack wouldn't go a miss.
Don't gargle on mouthwash - but wouldn't hurt to swell your mouth out.
Sleep with your head elevated during the first week - it helps.
