The Persona 2 duology is something I've always had a rough relationship with. I was really not a fan of Persona 2 Innocent Sin, but found an appreciation in how Persona 2 Eternal Punishment refined and put its own twist on Innocent Sin's ideas (to a degree). Being built off its predecessor, however, of course Eternal Punishment would still be held back by some of Innocent Sin's design choices. I was originally going to cover Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment back to back in one huge video. As I finished writing the IS portion of my script though, I found myself very unsatisfied. It was already 16 pages long and it was only halfway done. What I opted to do instead, was cover both games concurrently with more emphasis on comparing the two games and rooting out why exactly I prefer P2EP over P2IS as well as where areas I may like or take issue with in both entries.
