Hello! Today I’m sharing how to make this rustic, DIY hand lettered sign for my calligraphy lovers. This project is a perfect gift to give to newlyweds or friends and family...or just make it for yourself because it is seriously that cute. Personally, I’m in love with this little piece of simple home decor. I came up with this for an auction and immediately got 3 orders for it the day I shared it, so I thought you guys might really like it! Plus I know that bohemian, rustic, and natural home decor is very popular right now. Anyway, I hope you like this as much as I do and find it helpful. Do you do a lot of DIY home decor? Materials:
1. Wood Slab - 10-12” or a smaller size of your choice (if you go smaller, make sure to scale down the rest of your materials too). NOTE: Mine came sanded from the retailer, make sure to sand yours if it is not smooth.
2. Black Acrylic Paint
3. White Acrylic Paint
4. Square Synthetic Paint Brush
5. Round #6 Synthetic Paint Brush
6. Rope
7. Drill & Drill Bit
8. Scissors
9. Water, paper towels, small containers (painting supplies)
10. Pencil, ruler, eraser (sketching supplies)
