Map Multiple Contact Points on a vehicle with VBOX
It is now possible to 'map' the shape of the car by surveying up to twenty-four points around the chassis, using a ground plane antenna and survey pole. This produces a very accurate polygonal shape of the vehicle, and as the test takes place it is the nearest point between target and subject that is displayed and logged, therefore taking account of body angle and slip as they move through corners and junctions.
Multiple Contact Points increases the accuracy and shortens test times when validating Blind Spot and Rear Cross Path Detection, AEB, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Forward Collision Warning, and can be carried out using both static and Moving Base solutions.
