ACT Math Prep Geometry: Ratios and Areas

We also cover how to use subtraction of areas to find the area of irregular shapes such as hexagons. Finally, the problem finishes by expressing areas as a ratio and reducing a ratio to lowest terms. Ratios and areas are topics that are guaranteed to show up on the ACT math test, so a problem that uses both concepts is good practice for the test.
