How Lowcountry schools are ramping up security with new tech
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — On the heels of another school shooting last week, security officials for school districts in the Lowcountry are staying vigilant in the quest to keep students safe and parents informed.
That includes smartphone apps designed to get out emergency information quickly.
"All of our school staff have the ability to immediately notify the front office of a situation," says Michael Reidenbach, the director of security for Charleston County Schools.
It's a never-ending learning process for school security officers in the Lowcountry.
