Damascus House plans new residential facility to aid inmate recovery
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A program built to help inmates combat substance use disorder is working to expand their resources.
It's called Damascus House. The program currently operates within the Georgetown County Detention Center. Over 60% of people who become incarcerated in Georgetown abuse drugs, Georgetown County Sheriff Carter Weaver said.
