We introduced ideas of encryption in communication. Most of the class was an interactive on the Caesar cipher, and breaking the Caesar cipher using frequency analysis. Also briefly discussed the Vigenere cipher.
Finished with a lead-in to the next lecture, which will be about public-key cryptosystems.
