Hello all beautiful souls. today we will show you show you one of the famous temple of Dehradun which is dedicated to lord shiva that is Tapkeshwar Mahadeva temple. which is situated on banks of asan river and One of the busiest holy sites of Dehradun. it is around 6 km far from Dehradun city. this place is near by garhi cant and dakra market. The beauty of this temple is natural shiva ling under the cave and water droplets continuously drops on the shivling, that is why it has name 'Tapkeshwar'. it is also believed that this was used as a residence by Guru Dronacharya, the esteemed teacher of the Pandavas and Kauravas of the Hindu epic Mahabharata written by Ved Vyas. The cave is thus named Drona Cave after his name. Pleased with guru Dronacharya's penance before the Mahabharata period, Lord Shiva appeared. It was at the request of Guru Drona that Lord Shiva established Jagat Kalyan as linga. this place has its own scenery view and has all natural accessible inside temple.
