Intro to 2019 MacBook Pro LCD replacement, Model A2141.
00:32 – Bottom Case Removal
Remove six pentalobe screws and detach the bottom case.
01:09 – Battery Disconnection
Unplug battery management cable and remove pancake screw.
01:46 – Top Case Screws Removal
Remove T5 screws securing Wi-Fi and LCD board.
02:25 – Disconnect Wi-Fi Antennas
Unplug antennas and remove bracket with T5.
03:00 – Remove LCD Proximity Sensor
Unplug proximity sensor and remove T3 screws.
03:40 – Remove LCD Bungees & Covers
Take out hinge cover and bungee screws using T3.
04:18 – Detach Display Connector Bracket
Remove T3 screws from LCD display cable bracket.
05:16 – Remove Wi-Fi Module & Hinges
Unplug Wi-Fi module, display cable, and remove six T8 screws.
05:52 – Prep & Install New LCD
Align new LCD assembly and prepare for reinstallation.
06:35 – Secure Hinges & Proximity Sensor
Install six T8 screws and reconnect the proximity sensor.
07:11 – Reinstall LCD Bungees
Secure the four T3 bungee screws.
07:52 – Install Wi-Fi Vent Module
Feed antenna cables and reinstall module with tweezers.
09:08 – Secure Wi-Fi & LCD Board Screws
Reinstall T5 screws and plug in Wi-Fi and display cables.
09:52 – Secure Proximity Sensor Bracket
Hook in and screw down proximity/touch bar bracket.
10:44 – Reinstall Top Vent Screws
Use PH1 to reinstall vent module screws.
11:08 – Reinstall Hinge Covers
Secure hinge covers with T3 screws.
11:47 – Reconnect Battery
Reconnect pancake screw and battery flex cable.
12:18 – Initial Power Test
Plug in charger and test power, display, and charging.
12:57 – Verify Proximity Sensor
Close lid to check sleep function and reopen to confirm wake.
13:36 – Reattach Bottom Case
Align and clip in bottom case, reinstall pentalobe screws.
14:48 – Wrap-Up & Outro
Final checks and reminder to visit tech.com for parts and repairs.
