Welcome to another meaningful video.
Today, we explore one of the most fundamental Buddhist practices: Sīla, which means ethical conduct or virtue.
In Buddhism, the path to the liberation of the mind is built on three pillars:
1️⃣ Sīla – ethical conduct
2️⃣ Samādhi – concentration
3️⃣ Paññā – wisdom
Sīla is the foundation of a pure and peaceful life. It helps us become disciplined in body, speech, and mind.
When our actions and words are wholesome, the mind naturally becomes calm, steady, and clear.
In this video, you will learn:
✔ What Sīla really means
✔ Why ethical conduct is essential for spiritual growth
✔ How the Five Precepts protect your happiness
✔ How breaking precepts leads to regret, suffering, and negative karma
✔ How living a pure and virtuous life brings inner peace
✔ Why Buddha taught these guidelines—not as rules, but as wisdom for a happier life
The Five Precepts are:
Abstaining from killing
Abstaining from stealing
Abstaining from sexual misconduct
Abstaining from lying
Abstaining from intoxicants
By practicing these virtues, we remove remorse, cultivate purity, and create the foundation for meditation and wisdom.
May this teaching inspire you to live with kindness, clarity, and virtue.
