Have you ever wondered where pop-up headlights suddenly disappeared to? I mean, these headlights from the '80s and '90s used to be on almost every car because of how cool they looked, but now they're just a nostalgic memory, which is kind of sad. So, what happened to them? Well, there were two main reasons. First, their moving parts made them prone to mechanical failure over time. Second, in accidents, especially with pedestrians, the raised headlights were a hard, protruding surface that could cause serious injuries. That’s why they gradually faded away.
