Bee Bearding 😨 EXPLAINED
This practice is known as bee bearding, where people allow bees to gather on their face and body. It’s actually done to raise awareness about bees and help reduce people’s fear by showing that bees aren’t aggressive when handled properly. The process begins by placing a queen bee in a small cage and attaching it around the person’s neck. Then, about 10,000 worker bees are carefully placed on top. They gradually gather around the cage due to the queen’s pheromones, forming a beard-like cluster. The bees are then gently removed by shaking them off or using a leaf blower.
