· A signal, comprises of a set of information expressed as a function of any number of independent variables, that can be given as an input to a system, or derived as output from the system, to realize its true practical utility.
Basic operations performed on dependent variables are
1. Amplitude scaling of signals.
2. Addition of signals.
3. Multiplication of signals.
