Yumi was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She is a student at Carleton, finishing extended undergraduate studies in Religion and Geography. She was formerly a Senate Page, the Ombudsperson for the Canadian University Society for Intercolleagiate Debate, and the VP Finance for student group, Vaginas Against Violence, which produces the Vagina Monologues at Carleton. She hopes to pursue a Masters in Global Health and Policy, and loves TV.
