After the wedding and honeymoon is over, you’ll want to start thinking about the people who showed up to your wedding day. Writing thank you cards can seem overwhelming, but here are some tips that might make it a little easier.
The most important thing to remember about thank your cards is that you’re showing gratitude to the people who took time out of their day to celebrate with you.
Your wedding thank you cards should be sent out to wedding guests at least two weeks after your wedding day.
If you want to break up your list of guests who need a thank you card, start with first sending cards to people who gave gifts (whether they physically attended the wedding or not). Next, send thank you notes to the guests to were in attendance on your special day.
A really special touch to send thank you cards that are personalized with a picture of you and groom. Additionally, if it’s not too expensive, you could send copies of pictures of you with that particular guest.
Additionally, it’s more meaningful to add your personal handwritten note of appreciation. You could include another piece of paper with your personalized photo card or write on the back of the photo.
Some couples also order thank you notes along with wedding invitations to save time and money. When you opt to do this, just be sure you order enough or plenty of extra copies so you won’t run out in case too many people show up.
Don’t forget to send thank you notes to relatives and people who coordinated showers and parties for you. You can thank them for their efforts within the same card sent to them for their gifts.
