Storytime at Kaloleni Library
A fun-filled storytelling session with Wangari the Storyteller at the Kaloleni branch of the McMillan Memorial Library in June 2019! Targeted at children aged 3-7 years, this session was attended by 68 children.
Concurrently, a focus group with local residents at the adjacent Kaloleni Social Hall focused on desired improvements to this branch; expansion of the space and skills workshops such as soap making, baking, mat weaving, sign language and hairdressing, as well as feedback on existing restoration plans. This feedback has informed this branch's restoration plans, with work scheduled to begin in January 2020.
