Programmes Mini-Showcase: Term One 2023
After the term-one holiday, we hosted a mini showcase to wrap up the school holiday season for children participating in our Eastlands and Kaloleni Libraries programmes: Art Bunk, Music Bunk, and Dance Bunk. It was a delightful experience to witness the children demonstrate their newfound talents to their parents and guardians, who attended the event!
Our library programming challenges the traditional notion of libraries as quiet reading spaces by actively involving communities, offering diverse activities, promoting knowledge co-creation, tailoring services to specific groups, and embracing technology. These changes transform our project libraries into vibrant community centres catering to their users' evolving needs and interests while maintaining library core functions.
