We know this trick from numerous movies: A burglar uses a glass cutter to cut a hole in window glass. But does it really work? We have tried it out for you.
We put our glass cutter on standard window glass and try to cut out a hole. We do not succeed! But even a light blow with the handle of the sledgehammer causes the pane to crack.
SILATEC safety glass is completely different. Even countless hard blows with the sledgehammer do not cause the pane to shatter.
