Onze-Lieve-Vrouw kerk van Dendermonde
Onze-Lieve-Vrouw kerk van Dendermonde is een imposante gotische , katholieke, collegiale kerk die voor een deel nog vroeggotisch is. De kerk kent een lange bouwgeschiedenis, van de 13e tot de 15e eeuw. De kerk staat te midden van het huidige Onze Lieve Vrouwkerkplein ten noorden van de Kerkstraat, tot 1784 omgeven door het kerkhof. Nu is de kerk grotendeels omgeven door een lage haag en enkele bomen en struiken.
Ze is prachtig vanbinnen.
De 'grote kerk' van Dendermonde is niet alleen een echte schatkamer van religieuze kunst, maar ook een vaste waarde in het toeristisch zomeraanbod van de stad.
Dit jaar staan de schilderijen met kerkinterieurs van stadsgenoot Adolf Willems in de kijker.

Op maandag is ze gesloten en van dinsdag tot zondag open vanaf 13 u tot 17 u. De inkom is gratis.

Eng: Dendermonde's Church of Our Lady is an imposing Gothic , Catholic collegiate church that is still partly early Gothic. The church has a long building history, from the 13th to the 15th century. The church stands in the middle of the present Onze Lieve Vrouw church square north of Church Street, surrounded by the cemetery until 1784. Now the church is largely surrounded by a low hedge and some trees and shrubs.
It is beautiful inside.
Dendermonde's 'big church' is not only a real treasure trove of religious art, but also a fixture in the city's summer tourist offerings.
This year, paintings featuring church interiors by fellow townsman Adolf Willems are in the spotlight.

It is closed on Mondays and open from Tuesday to Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is free.
