How to stake MATIC - Polygon Project Overview
I give an overview of the Polygon project and three ways to make crypto passive income with MATIC
1. Directly on the official Polygon website - Beginner to Intermediate
You will need to purchase MATIC at an exchange or use existing tokens in your web3 wallet and swap at a DEX. Once the MATIC on the Ethereum mainnet network is in your wallet, you are able to delegate your stake to one of the MATIC validators.
2. You can use a 3rd party liquid staking provider. - Beginner to Intermediate
You will need to purchase MATIC at an exchange or use existing tokens in your web3 wallet and swap at a DEX. Once the MATIC on the Ethereum mainnet network is in your wallet, you are able to stake. Once you stake you will receive an stMATIC token which you can hold or trade while you continue making money with the liquid staking provider.
3. Running a MATIC validator - Expert
This is not currently available because the cap of total validators is 100. Once they have one that falls out of the pool for whatever reason, they run an auction to add new ones.
