FAQ schema to drive bottom funnel conversions
This one simple FAQ Schema trick drives more sales
Hey there, folks! Steve Toth from SEO Notebook here, and today's note is all about maximising your top funnel articles on Google using FAQ Schema - perfect for WordPress!
So what exactly is a top funnel article, you ask? Well, it's all about answering informational questions at the start of a user journey or query. But you can also use them to direct people to BOTTOM of funnel pages too! In this example, I'm looking at what Bit Degree has done with their page on crypto faucets. You'll notice they're answering Top Of Funnel questions like "What is a Bitcoin faucet?". As we all know, these pages may not necessarily convert traffic, but they are great for driving traffic and building brand awareness by including links to BOTTOM of Funnel articles - in this example, they use an affiliate link to crypto wallets - very clever!
Simply by including FAQ schema that links to their best crypto wallet money page they have been able to drive traffic to an affiliate page and make more money!
You can use this for your Bottom of Funnel keyword pages too!
STEPS:

Step 1: Identify the top traffic pages on your website using Google Search Console or Google Analytics.
Step 2: Determine if these top traffic pages are top funnel pages, which are informative in nature and usually don't convert traffic.
Step 3: If you have FAQ schema on your top traffic pages, find a related money page and add it to the FAQ schema with a hyperlink. This will give your bottom-funnel landing page a new source of traffic that you may have otherwise missed.
Step 4: If you don't have FAQ schema on your top traffic pages, create one using a FAQ schema generator like technicalseo.com. Then, find a related bottom-funnel landing page and link it within your FAQ schema.
Step 5: Make sure to include questions on your top funnel landing pages that can be used in the FAQ schema.
Step 6: By linking your top funnel and bottom-funnel pages, you can drive more traffic to your money pages and increase conversions.
Result: You get double the chance of generating traffic to your pages!
