Normally, cataract surgery includes placement of an intraocular lens into the patient's capsular bag. Sometimes, this capsule or the zonules that hold the capsule in place become compromised and the intraocular lens dislocates. Patients with dislocated intraocular lenses may need to have a new lens secured to the sclera with sutures - as is seen in this surgical video.
