Optometry & Ophthalmology Workshop at AZCOPT 2025
AZCOPT and the Collaborative Eye Care Club hosted an awesome optometry & ophthalmology workshop. AZCOPT faculty and students taught participants from other programs all about how the two professions of optometry and ophthalmology work closely together. Participants were taught how to perform crucial skills such as slit lamp biomicroscopy, binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy (BIO) and direct ophthalmoscopy (DO). AZCOPT's virtual reality simulation lab has 6 BIO, 3 DO and 3 slit lamp units. Additionally, the pre-clinic has over 30 fully equipped exam lanes for students to learn all the skills they need to become successful eye doctors!
