For all those we have lost without having a chance to say a proper goodbye...
I wrote and recorded "We Didn't Get to Say Goodbye" after losing another friend to Covid 19. I hope it brings some comfort to others who are experiencing the same grief.
Oh, my friend, How I miss you,
And we didn't get to say goodbye.
We stayed apart to keep each other safe,
And we didn't get to say goodbye.
Then you were sick; now you are gone,
And we didn't get to say goodbye.
I close my eyes, try to be strong,
But we didn't get to say goodbye.
