LOGIC PRO X - How to create Gritty Arp Sequences
A contextual musical example this week. I'm using a couple of tools - perhaps more readily associated with EDM - and applying them to the kind of gritty, underscore tension sequences you might associate with a TV show.

Firstly, I'll show you how you can use the Arpeggiator's Grid mode to create a pattern, rather than for playing a 'regular' Arp-style sequence. Then, I'll move on to show you how you can sequence an EFX solution for a sequence like this, tracking each note with its own Distortion amount, using Step FX. As always, you could use a similar approach to produce searing gated lead sounds, bubbling, warm sequences and plenty more besides.
