Just as we’ve seen hockey players opt for Artificial Disc Replacement to maintain their motion and mobility, golfers can also benefit from ADR to help with back pain.

Golfers tend to experience degeneration of the lower two lumbar discs due to the repetitive golf swing. The spine isn’t meant to twist, only bend and extend, and it should only turn about 15 degrees, but a golf swing requires hyper-rotation.

Today, most golfers struggling with disc degeneration and back pain are looking for ADR over more motion-restrictive surgeries like spinal fusion to help relieve the strain on their joints during rotation, improve their golf game, and feel better.
