The Legacy of Unus Annus
Unus Annus was a YouTube channel made by Mark Fischbach (Markiplier) and Ethan Nestor (CrankGameplays), with a simple premise in mind. In exactly one year, they would delete the channel and everything on it. But why would they say goodbye to a channel with over 4.5 million subscribers and a lively and devoted community? Believe it or not despite the Pee Sauna and other questionable activities, the reason behind its deletion was actually quite profound. Let's talk about it. Memento Mori. Unus Annus.
IMPORTANT
While archiving entire unedited videos of the channel goes against Unus and Annus's final wishes, they stated in their final livestream that compilations and transformative works using their footage is fine (proof included in the video). If they find this video to be in any way disrespectful, they can have someone contact me to take it down.
