Pat Martino Activity 5 Explored on The Guitar!
Activity 5 is the area that I call SG 136 AKA the 5th position of the guitar.
The key is to first master where the root notes lie.
In this video we look at it initially in the key of C.
Here is the lay of the land for SG 136 AKA Position 5:
String 1: 8th Fret (C)
String 3: 5th Fret (C)
String 6: 8th Fret (C)
Start with memorising and becoming accustomed to this methodology of getting to know the roots in relation to the area (position) that you are in!
Now do remember the position WILL change if you change key. The guitar is a transposing type instrument and patterns move up and down depending upon key.
