★"Anpanman" is the name of the main character in a work created by Japanese manga artist Takashi Yanase based on his own picture book.
★He was born when the "Star of Life" got into the bean-jam bread made by Uncle Jam during the manufacturing process. He is a hero of justice who offers his face (anpan) to help people in trouble. His head is filled with bean-jam (fried bean paste) even though it is an anpan (bean-jam bread).
★(Love and courage) Anpanman teaches people joy and the meaning of life, even at the expense of his own life.
(Friendship) Anpanman cooperates with his friends to overcome difficulties.
(Justice) Anpanman defeats evil and protects justice.
