World No. 1 Viktor Axelsen (Denmark) proves that he is the best men's singles player on tour today when he made light work of his rival of the past 5 years, Kento Momota (2-time world champion, Japan), at the final of the Malaysia Open 2023. Notice how Axelsen has improved his endurance tremendously to keep up with Momota's long rallies and neutral playing style, while choosing the right chances to inject pace into the rallies. With this approach he was able to defeat Momota in astounding fashion, but hopefully Momota will rise back to his earlier level soon to challenge Axelsen again! 🤩
