What started as a small skirmish at sea has erupted into war.
The Vlandians and Aserai have always sought one thing above all else - profit. Vlandia was seized by men strong enough to take it from the Empire's decadent hands, and their fierce reputation from then extends to the prowess of their fighters today. Many levies have found themselves fighting alongside Vlandians from Tyal to Sanala, as the great lords of Calradia always turn to the west when looking for troops to round out their armies. For many Vlandians, their business is war - and now more than ever is the time to clock in.
What began as a rudimentary mining operation on a small, unmarked island off the coast of Quyaz has erupted into a diplomatic incident. Vlandian miners looking to make a living on the allegedly resource rich island ran into trouble when they came into contact with patrolling Aserai galleys.
Though no one knows what sparked the ensuing bloodbath, blades were drawn and the Vlandian settlers triumphed over the Aserai guardsmen. Perhaps seeing a chance at greater gains, King Derthert has thrown his support behind his subjects, declaring the matter an Aserai provocation and sending a host to the south. Using the island as a springboard for an invasion of the desert, Derthert hopes to strike while the winds of victory are on his side.
But he faces no easy opponent. Though bloodied on the island itself, the Aserai are tirelessly preparing for an attack on their home from marauding Vlandians. The Sultan Unqid is said to personally be leading the defense, and despite any internal dissent he may face, all are united against the threat of blatant Vlandian warmongering.
The great traders of the Sultanate are giving Unqid a blank check for any resources he may need, salivating at the thought of a new island to use for trading with Calradia. Whoever wins will be sure to reap great profits.
All for the low low price of thousands of warriors.

Welcome to the second event of the Bannerlord Calradic Campaign! This event will feature the Vlandians taking the war to the Aserai in the deserts.
If the Vlandians can establish a foothold, they will besiege Tubilis Castle. If the Aserai can stall the Vlandian advance long enough, a fleet stands ready to raze Usanc Castle.
Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player driven, story based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large scale battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle style events.
