Segmentart
I created a joint painting activity called Segment art! We took a piece of acrylic paper (so its sturdy) and separated it with pencil and sharpee into different segments, starting in upper left corner. Liam made choices of what medium to paint with (chunky tempera paint sticky, watercolors or paint), spelled words that described what the segment might look like as well as other associated words!
This activity allowed for choices, motor planning skills with spelling as well as opening and closing paint jars, dipping brushes and attempting to stay within lines. It lasted about 30 minutes but the battery in my flip video died after 9 minutes of footage. Liam spelled a lot of prior knowledge as I was led to ask him those types of questions!
