Sensory Handwriting Activity
Summer and I put shaving cream and paint into gallon ziplock bags, tried to get most the air out and sealed them with duct tape. Then we helped and invited Liam to press and mix the colors and shaving cream. We then traced numbers and letters on the bag (a white piece of paper underneath worked best for contrast). Patting gently was the way to erase and start again! We used hand-over-hand prompting with Liam at times but also encouraged his independent strokes and tracing over lines already made. Easy and fun way to practice hand-writing skills! We called it a "science" activity because we were mixing different solutions (including paint colors).
