Ludwig LEAVES TWITCH For YouTube, "Twitch Doesn't Care"
Ludwig stunned the streaming world when the Twitch sub record holder announced he was leaving the purple platform to stream exclusively on YouTube...and now he’s revealed the reasons behind the shocking move.
Ludwig was one of Twitch’s biggest stars, holding their record for the most ever subs, and routinely hosting and putting on huge events featuring dozens of other big streamers and content creators. So when he announced he was leaving Twitch to stream exclusively on YouTube...Ludwig felt the need to explain some of his reasoning.
Saying that he had initially decided to stay signed with Twitch because he was a “twitch guy”, Ludwig revealed that YouTube came back and made him an even better offer to get him to change his mind, and when he took the offer to Twitch to see if they would match it, they basically told him “we wish you the best”. Other big names like Valkyrae, Mizkif, and MoistCr1TiKaL all echoed a similar sentiment, saying that Twitch didn’t really care about their streamers.
Ludwig said he never felt loved by Twitch during the process despite making them the most money they had ever made in a single month, so when YouTube fought for him to move over and offered him more money, and the chance to stream less and do more projects outside streaming, the decision became a no brainer...and that more creator moves are on the way.
